My name is Polina Hanin and my background will hopefully explain the lens through which I view life. I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia (then Leningrad), and moved to the States when I was 9. I grew up in what I consider the New York suburb of New Jersey. I got my undergrad degree at Wesleyan University in Social Studies, then went on to work in NYC at medical device start-ups. Most recently, I received my MBA from University of Chicago with Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management and Finance concentrations. My professional interests lie in healthcare, primarily medical devices and IT.
I’ve always been fascinated by the way people perceive the world around them, and how those perceptions and preferences manifest themselves in decisions and actions. This blog is a way for me to explore the idiosyncrasies of what’s around me.
